Job description

Job Title: Workday Systems Analyst - Financial Accounting

Location: Washington DC

Onsite Requirements: Remote

Compensation Range: $115k - $130kResponsibilities

Focused on Financial Accounting to include, General Ledger, Financial Reporting and Procurement. This role ensures that Workday Financial Management operations are efficient, effective, and aligned with the organization's strategic objectives. The position serves as a key liaison between Finance business units and Information Technology, translating business requirements into scalable Workday solutions that improve operational efficiency, financial accuracy, compliance, and reporting capabilities.

Operating within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, this position supports the configuration, enhancement, and optimization of Workday Financial Management applications. The incumbent partners closely with Finance leadership, Accounting, Procurement, Budget, Grants, Payroll, Human and Resources to implement solutions that support institutional/higher education financial operations. The role requires strong analytical skills, technical expertise, business process knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five (5) or more years of experience supporting Workday Financial Management.
Experience configuring and supporting multiple Workday Financial modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Expenses, Asset Management, Banking and Settlement, Projects, and Grants.
Experience with Workday reporting, calculated fields, Business Processes, security, EIBs, Core Connectors, and integrations.
Experience supporting Workday implementation, optimization, or post-production support within higher education, healthcare, or a complex enterprise environment is preferred.
Workday Financial Management certifications are preferred.
