Job Description
The Phoenix Group Advisors is conducting a search for a Manager of IT Training & Development for a professional services firm operating within the legal sector. This role oversees enterprise-wide technology training programs, delivering strategic learning initiatives to enhance technology adoption and proficiency across law firm staff and attorneys.
Role Overview
Responsible for designing, implementing, and continually improving IT training programs aligned with firm systems and operational objectives. The manager ensures effective onboarding, end-user training, and change management for technology initiatives, supporting the firm’s efficiency and security goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic technology training roadmaps aligned with firm priorities
- Design and deliver role-based training sessions for attorneys and staff on core legal technology platforms
- Collaborate with IT leadership on system upgrades, implementations, and change management strategies
- Lead onboarding programs to ensure new hires achieve technology proficiency promptly
- Create and update training materials, user guides, and e-learning resources
- Manage training schedules, attendance, and learning management systems or content libraries
- Partner with HR and practice groups to identify skill gaps and evolving training needs
- Analyze training feedback and performance metrics to improve program effectiveness
- Core Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in technology training, instructional design, or professional development in a legal or professional services environment
- Proven experience delivering training to attorneys or senior professionals
- Familiarity with law firm technology such as document management, billing, and collaboration platforms
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple initiatives concurrently
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment
