About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant with experience in both tax preparation and review to support our growing tax team.

This role is best suited for someone who is comfortable handling more complex tax work, reviewing returns prepared by others, and communicating directly with clients when needed.

You will play a key role in supporting the overall quality and accuracy of tax engagements while working closely with internal team members.

What You'll Do

Tax Preparation & Review

• Prepare and review business and individual tax returns (e.g., 1040, 1065, 1120S)
• Identify errors, inconsistencies, and missing information in returns
• Ensure work meets firm standards for accuracy and completeness
• Provide feedback to preparers to support corrections and improvements

Client Communication

• Communicate with clients to request information and clarify tax-related matters.
• Respond to client questions and provide general tax guidance
• Support a positive and professional client experience

Team & Workflow Support

• Collaborate with team members to move work through the pipeline efficiently
• Support the timely completion of assigned returns
• Contribute to maintaining consistency and quality across engagements

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of experience in public accounting
• Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns
• Strong understanding of federal tax compliance
• Ability to manage assigned work and meet deadlines
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients

Preferred

• CPA or EA license, or actively pursuing
• Experience reviewing work prepared by others
• Experience handling more complex tax scenarios
• Familiarity with tax software (e.g., CCH, UltraTax, or similar)

Work Environment: Remote with periodic in-person visits.
