Job Description
Our client is looking for an Oracle DBA / Engineer to provide support for Oracle Engineered Systems Infrastructure
This is a long term contract that is hybrid 1-3 days per week in Chicagoland
W2 only, No c2c or third parties.
Responsibilities
- Performing Exadata full stack infrastructure patching (cells, compute nodes, and system software)
- Firmware and ZFS storage updates
- Administering and responding to alerts from Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Auto Service Request (ASR), and Autonomous Health Framework (AHF)
- Design and execution of large-scale backup, recovery, patching, and upgrade strategies
Qualifications
- Oracle Exadata (X8–X10) architecture: storage cells, switches, ASM, Grid Infrastructure.
- ZFS Storage Appliance experience for backup and disaster recovery
- RAC, DataGuard, GoldenGate proficiency in engineered system environments
- Backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability design expertise
- Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring, automation, and compliance
- pay around 75-85/hr w2
