Part-Time Lot Attendant – Toyota Northshore

Jim Pattison Toyota Northshore is seeking an energetic, reliable, and organized Lot Attendant to be the pillar of support for our dealership. As a supporting role for our Sales department, you’ll play a key part in ensuring that our vehicles are well presented to our customers.

Schedule: This is a part-time position, offering approximately 23 hours per week. The regular schedule is as follow - Saturday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Sunday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Additional hours may be available on statutory holidays, with a scheduled shift of 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM, bringing the total weekly hours to approximately 29 hours when applicable.

Pay Range: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

This role reports to the Sales Manager of the dealership.

A Day in the Life

• Maintain and monitor the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of all vehicle inventory, including exterior washing and interior cleaning
• Ensure vehicles are displayed in a way that creates a positive first impression for customers
• Maneuver, arrange, and relocate inventory and guest vehicles with care
• Capture clear, appealing photos of pre-owned vehicle inventory and assist with posting them online
• Ensure any potential issues with vehicles or the dealership property are promptly reported
• Safe use of tools, equipment, and cleaning supplies
• Ensure a high degree of confidentiality with company and customer information
• Participate in maintaining a supportive and engaging working environment
• Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• A valid BC Driver’s license is required, including a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract report
• Previous experience in the automotive industry is considered a strong asset
• Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmissions is preferred
• Strong customer-service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• This is a physically active role and requires the following:
• Frequent walking throughout the dealership building and lot
• Walking and/or standing for long periods
• Frequent operation of automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Washing vehicles, which may include use of various cleaning products and frequent bending, crouching, and reaching
• Significant time spent outdoors in various weather, including sun, rain, wind, snow, cold, and heat. Weather conditions are monitored for safety as needed
