Event & Marketing manager

The Garage Guy BBQ is a family owned and operated catering company based in Whitby and looking for a new team member help grow our business to new levels.

We operate within a private club and cater events of all sizes, both on site and across Durham region, along with weekly pop ups at a local brewery.

As we grow, we are looking to add a key person to the new role of event & marketing manager. As such, you will be charged with generating new sales opportunities, planning and overseeing events, and taking part in our social media activities.

We are looking for energetic, youthful applicants who are people friendly, love to learn and are reliable. That last word is key. We will be loyal to you if you are loyal to us.

We are a team where everyone does a bit of everything, so a food and beverage background would be an asset, but not a deal breaker. Additional hours may be available for those with kitchen experience.

Ideally, you live in Whitby or the immediate area, like Ajax or Oshawa. The ability to drive is a must.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 20 per week
