Position Overview
Tenacre Country Day School seeks an experienced and collaborative Director of Human Resources to oversee HR and payroll operations in partnership with the Director of Finance and the Controller. This role supports employees across the full employment lifecycle while ensuring effective, compliant, and people-centered systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead onboarding, offboarding, and employee support
- Oversee benefits administration, including open enrollment and vendor management
- Manage bi-weekly and monthly payroll, tax compliance, and reporting
- Maintain personnel records and HR policies
- Support leaves, accommodations, and time-off processes
- Foster a respectful and inclusive workplace culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or HR certification preferred
- Minimum seven years of HR and payroll experience
- Experience in schools or mission-driven organizations preferred
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and Blackbaud (Financial Edge NXT) is a plus

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $85,000 – $105,000, commensurate with experience.
