Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated, self-driven Junior Engineer / Operations Associate to join our team. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate who wants to build a career in engineering consulting while gaining hands-on experience in business operations. You will receive structured support and sponsorship to train toward an Nokia NRS II or Cisco CCIP/CCNP certification, depending on your background and career goals.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Certification Development

  • Participate in a structured training program to achieve NRS II or CCIP certification within the first 12–18 months
  • Support project teams with technical research, data collection, field observations, and report preparation
  • Assist senior engineers and consultants on client engagements

Company Operations & Administration

  • Manage scheduling, booking, and travel logistics for project teams
  • Provide first-line IT administration support (hardware setup, account management, troubleshooting common issues)
  • Conduct market research and compile information to support business development efforts
  • Maintain internal documentation, filing systems, and project tracking tools
  • Assist with general office administration and ad-hoc tasks as the business requires

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline) or a diploma in a relevant Science or Technology program
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a willingness to learn new tools quickly
  • A proactive, “go-getter” attitude with a genuine desire to learn and grow
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada

Preferred

  • Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering
  • Previous internship, co-op, or work experience in consulting, construction, or a technical environment
  • Familiarity with basic IT systems (networking, cloud platforms, helpdesk processes)

Success Metrics (KPIs)

First 3–6 Months

  • Completion of foundational training modules
  • Contribution to internal documentation and research deliverables
  • Effective support of day-to-day operational tasks

6–12 Months

  • Progress toward NRS II / CCIP certification milestones
  • Ability to assist in lab testing, configurations, and troubleshooting
  • Increased ownership of internal systems and coordination tasks

12+ Months

  • Certification achievement (or near completion)
  • Active contribution to customer-facing engineering work
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently across both technical and operational areas

Compensation & Growth

💰 Base Salary: $40,000 CAD (based on skills & potential)
