Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Talent Acquisition Specialist to support full-cycle recruitment and onboarding activities for an 18-month contract. This role plays a key part in delivering a seamless candidate experience while ensuring efficient hiring processes and accurate record-keeping. You will collaborate closely with hiring managers and internal teams to attract top talent and support HR initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including creating and posting job ads across various platforms
- Maintain and update the company website and social media channels for recruitment purposes
- Screen resumes, track applicant data, and assess candidate qualifications and fit
- Conduct initial phone screenings and schedule virtual and in-person interviews
- Ensure a positive candidate experience by managing communication, setting expectations, and supporting interviewers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system and support recruitment reporting and metrics
- Coordinate onboarding activities, including preparing new hire documentation and checklists
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of orientation materials and employee records
- Conduct and document exit interviews
- Stay current with recruitment best practices and relevant employment legislation
- Support administration of the company Safety Program, including OH&S compliance tracking and participation in the Joint Health & Safety Committee
- Contribute to process improvements and HR initiatives aimed at optimizing workflows
- Assist with additional HR projects and duties as required
What You Must Have
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, plus 3+ years of recruitment experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and current job market trends
- Working knowledge of relevant employment legislation
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, HR databases, and Microsoft Office tools
- Proven ability to screen candidates and conduct effective interviews
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information
