Full Stack Engineers (Multiple)

Overview

We are seeking multiple Senior Full Stack Developer to support the delivery and modernization of complex enterprise applications within a public sector environment. Applicants must be located within Alberta. Mostly remote, occasional visits to Edmonton may be required during this 2 year term of this 1 year contract. This is a multi year transformation project.

Applicants with less than 5 years demonstrable experience within enterprise environments will not be considered. Applicants not willing to share contact details of references will not be considered due to our submission requirements for this client.

This role requires strong experience across modern frontend and backend frameworks, along with a proven track record of working in agile teams, contributing to production systems, and supporting the evolution of legacy platforms into modern digital services.

Preference will be given to candidates with Government or public sector experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using modern frameworks
• Work within agile teams to deliver scalable, production-grade solutions
• Contribute to modernization efforts, transforming legacy systems into modern digital services
• Develop and maintain automated unit and integration tests
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX, service design, and product stakeholders
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery
• Apply best practices in software development, including version control, code quality, and design patterns
• Work with relational and non-relational databases to support application data needs

Must-Have Requirements

• 5+ years experience as a Full Stack Developer on complex software solutions in agile environments
• 5+ years experience using source control (Git) in collaborative development
• 3+ years experience with automated unit testing and integration testing
• 3+ years experience working with database technologies (relational and non-relational)
• 3+ years experience building and supporting production applications using modern frontend and backend frameworks

Required Experience

• 2+ years experience modernizing legacy systems into digital services across multiple releases
• 2+ years experience with one or more of:
• Frontend: Angular, React, Vue
• Backend: .NET Core (C#), Node.js (NestJS/Express), Python (Django)
• 2+ years experience with design patterns and software architecture principles
• 2+ years experience working with CI/CD pipelines
• 6+ years experience with software development best practices, tools, and standards
• 2+ years experience working in teams incorporating UX, service design, or human-centered design
