AWS PySpark Redshift Data Engineer

Technet IT has partnered with a global technology services organisation supporting a portfolio of enterprise life sciences clients (large-scale, multi-national environment) to hire an experienced AWS PySpark Redshift Data Engineer on a long-term contract basis.

This is an opportunity to work across multiple data programmes within life sciences, contributing to scalable, cloud-based data platforms in a highly regulated, data-driven environment. The role is suited to engineers who are confident operating across AWS ecosystems and delivering high-quality data solutions in enterprise settings.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, build and optimise data pipelines using AWS and PySpark
• Develop and maintain data workflows within Redshift for ingestion, transformation and reporting
• Support ongoing enhancement of cloud-based data platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple life sciences accounts
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, ensuring performance and reliability

Required experience:

• 5+ years in data engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and PySpark
• Proven experience working with Redshift
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and modern cloud data architectures
• Ability to work in stakeholder-facing environments with strong communication skills

Preferred

• Experience within life sciences or pharmaceutical environments
