Senior Manager - Construction

Purpose of the Role

Management of Construction projects and Maintenance including infrastructure projects.

The role will be responsible for ensuring Supervision and Monitoring of Construction Projects, Maintenance and creating new Infrastructure across plant of TMPVL including JLR.

Job Responsibility

• Project Management
• Management of Projects as per requirements with Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale.
• Good knowledge of IS codes, Construction practices.
• Provide technical root cause analysis and issue resolutions.
• Conceptualize the project details & logistics requirements of the new project based on factory layout & equipment planning by the Planning department.
• Monitor Safety, Quality and Delivery of projects and maintenance works within allotted cost.
• Prepare the preliminary project budget and detailed estimate based on inputs from the planning team.
• Review & finalize the preliminary designs developed based on GA drawings from equipment suppliers prior to execution.
• Finalize the execution sanction reports containing the details of various project costs and send it for approval.
• Review the detail design / drawings and provide necessary inputs for improvements (if any)
• Identify, estimate & allocate the resource pools (manpower, machinery, equipments etc.) to different sub areas in the various phases.
• Finalize broad timelines for major sub phases and review progress against the planned schedules on a weekly basis along with CPED & planning teams.
• Monitor and control the project activities within the budgeted cost, quality and time schedule by realignment of various resources from time to time.
• Review the MIS reports for the construction areas and forward to the TS head for consolidation on a monthly basis. Time & Cost (Budget Vs Actual) Quality as per nature of work
• Review the execution of all civil maintenance activities related to existing infrastructure and their stability on a regular basis
• Monitor the expenses for civil maintenance activities and ensure adherence to available budgets
• Approve payments to vendors post execution of maintenance activities
• Review of basic infrastructure (roads, supply & drainage systems etc.) and maintenance work status on requirement basis

Desired Candidate Profile

• B.E/B. Tech with 4~12 years of experience
• Knowledge of MS Projects, AutoCAD(Desirable), MIS
