Role Overview:

As a Domain Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Telecom SDN Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in consulting, ideating, and leading solution architecture for global telecom clients. This includes OSS/BSS modernization, NaaS API enablement, and Service Assurance transformation. You will work closely with client stakeholders, internal delivery teams, and partner ecosystems to define future-ready architectures, drive digital transformation programs, and ensure business outcomes through innovative, standards-compliant solutions.

Responsibilities

Client Consulting & Engagement

• Act as a trusted advisor for CXO-level stakeholders on SDN/NFV, OSS/BSS, and NaaS strategies.
• Conduct discovery workshops, assess current-state architectures, and define transformation roadmaps.
• Support RFP/RFI responses, solution proposals, and bid defense for large programs.

Solution Architecture & Design

• Architect cloud-native OSS/BSS platforms with API-first principles, microservices, and event-driven designs.
• Define NaaS API frameworks aligned with GSMA CAMARA, TM Forum Open APIs and MEF LSO standards.
• Lead service assurance architecture leveraging streaming telemetry, AI/ML-based analytics, and closed-loop automation.
• Ensure multi-vendor interoperability and standards compliance across SDN controllers, orchestration layers, and assurance systems.

Delivery Leadership

• Govern architecture during implementation; ensure adherence to design principles and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with global delivery teams for DevOps enablement, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments.
• Mentor architects and engineers; lead Architecture Review Boards.

Innovation & Thought Leadership

• Drive innovation initiatives in areas like intent-based networking, network slicing, edge computing, and AI-driven assurance.
• Publish whitepapers, represent in industry forums (GSMA, TM Forum, MEF), and contribute to standards evolution.

Required Skill/experience:

• 17+ years in telecom domain; 10+ years in architecture roles for OSS/BSS, SDN/NFV, and assurance.
• Expertise in OSS/BSS processes: catalog, order mgmt, inventory, fulfillment, assurance, billing.
• SDN/NFV/MANO: controllers, orchestration, VNF/CNF lifecycle.
• Service Assurance: telemetry, correlation, RCA, Gen AI/AI/ML ops.
• Strong knowledge of CAMARA, TM Forum Open APIs, MEF LSO, ETSI NFV, ONF SDN, 3GPP.
• Hands-on with cloud-native tech: Kubernetes, Istio, Helm, Terraform, Ansible.
• API & integration: REST/GraphQL, Async APIs, API Gateways.
• Excellent consulting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
