Must-Have Skills
- Modeling: Gradient boosting (XGBoost/LightGBM), GLMs, plus time series or NLP
- Experimentation: A/B testing, causal inference basics, uplift modeling
- Feature Engineering: Strong pipelines, leakage prevention, disciplined validation
- Responsible AI: Explainability, bias checks, proper documentation
- Python DS Stack: pandas, scikit-learn, MLflow, solid model evaluation
- Business Collaboration: Translate business problems into ML solutions
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in fraud, risk, marketing propensity, churn, or next-best-action models
- Exposure to model risk management processes and documentation
- Strong storytelling with executive-ready communication skills
