Job Title GCP Devops Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture & Automation: Architect, provision, and manage robust, scalable infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• CI/CD & GitOps: Design and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins, integrating GitOps practices (ArgoCD/Flux).
• Containerization & Orchestration: Build containerized workloads with Docker and orchestrate them at scale using Kubernetes (GKE - Google Kubernetes Engine).
• Platform Reliability & Observability: Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting using Cloud Monitoring/Logging, Prometheus, and Grafana to ensure high availability.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce cloud security best practices (IAM, VPC Service Controls, Secret Manager, and Workload Identity) and support DevSecOps and compliance audits (SOC2/ISO 27001).
• Collaboration & Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional development teams, and champion SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) principles across the organization.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Experience: 7+ years of hands-on DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or SRE experience with a strong focus on GCP environments.
• Core GCP Services: Deep understanding of GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery.
• Infrastructure as Code: Expert-level proficiency in Terraform.
• Scripting & Automation: Strong programming/scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Container Technologies: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and service meshes (e.g., Istio).
• Networking: Solid grasp of cloud networking concepts including VPCs, Load Balancers, DNS, and Firewalls
