Founding Full-Stack Engineer (Strong FE)

Salary Range: $150,000 - $220,000 per year

Join our team as a pioneering Full-Stack Engineer, where innovation and rapid growth

converge in the heart of San Francisco. As Engineer #1, you'll have the unique opportunity to

work closely with our founders to craft cutting-edge AI-driven features that empower non-

coders. Your role will involve engaging directly with users, dedicating time to understanding

their needs, and translating these insights into seamless user experiences. Expect to ship

full-stack features that serve as foundational building blocks for app creation, handling

everything from storage and payments to authentication. Your strong full-stack expertise

with React, TypeScript, and Node.js will be essential, alongside a proven track record of

end-to-end feature implementation. With at least three years under your belt, you'll bring a

fast yet meticulous approach to development, valuing both speed and quality in equal

measure. In this role, you'll enhance our AI's runtime and improve prompt engineering,

ensuring high-quality output in both functionality and design. Additionally, you'll be

instrumental in building scalable infrastructure to support millions of apps. Your deep sense

of ownership and product intuition will be vital as you take on the responsibility of driving

features from concept to production. This is your chance to evolve from an initial engineering

Responsibilities

• Talk to users often to deeply understand how to improve Floot's AI and UX (you can expect to spend 10-20% of your time on support)
• Ship full-stack features and build the foundational building blocks that users will use to build their apps seamlessly (e.g. storage, payments, auth, etc)
• Improve our AI runtime to handle edge cases and make our agentic system more reliable
• Prompt engineering and evals to improve AI output quality (for both function + design)
• Build robust infrastructure for our end-to-end platform to power millions of production apps

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years of experience with React, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Strong experience as shipped production features end-to-end
• Strong sense of ownership: you’re autonomous and own features from start to finish
• Fast but thoughtful: you ship quickly without cutting corners on things that matter
• Strong sense for UX and product polish: you believe that craft matters
