Job Description

Overview

Take2 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team. This role involves working hands-on with Azure cloud services to manage and build infrastructure, networks, and support cloud migration efforts.

Education & Certification Requirements

Candidates should have relevant educational backgrounds with a minimum of fourteen years of experience if holding a Bachelor's degree, twelve years with a Master's, or nine years with a PhD or JD. Certifications in Azure, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, are preferred.

Clearance Requirements

Candidates must have an active Secret clearance.

Onsite Requirements

This role is on-site in Alexandria, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable Azure network architectures for hybrid, multi-cloud, and edge environments.
  • Utilize cloud-native services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, and Bicep to modernize IT operations.
  • Provision core Azure networking components including Virtual Networks, subnets, Network Security Groups, and route tables.
  • Implement load balancing, VPN gateways, and firewalls to ensure secure, efficient network traffic flow.
  • Develop and maintain IaC scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Implement and manage configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Use Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins to create and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment.
  • Automate monitoring, scaling, and healing processes to improve infrastructure reliability and performance.
  • Develop and deploy CI/CD pipelines for accelerating software delivery, embedding cybersecurity measures, and streamlining deployment.
  • Integrate security throughout the CI/CD lifecycle, including code scanning, vulnerability management, and compliance reporting.
  • Deploy and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, leveraging containerization technologies such as Docker for scalable application deployment.
  • Implement service mesh solutions like Istio for enhanced Kubernetes cluster networking and security.
  • Manage container registries ensuring the secure deployment of container images.
  • Utilize Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for comprehensive infrastructure monitoring and alerting.
  • Perform performance tuning and resource optimization to maintain cost-effectiveness and system reliability.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Solutions and Architecture.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, automation, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies.
  • Record of strong problem-solving skills and collaborative work style.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on-site in Alexandria, VA as required.

Desired Skills

  • Experience working within the Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • Advanced Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
