Clinton Junior High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will foster a love for literature and language while developing students' critical thinking and communication skills. This teaching position is responsible for planning and delivering engaging instruction in reading, writing, grammar, and literature to students in the junior high age range. This person should foster a positive classroom environment, support diverse learners, and promote critical thinking and communication.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards and district curriculum.
Teach reading comprehension, writing skills, grammar, vocabulary, and literature analysis.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including students with IEPs and English Language Learners.
Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
Valid teaching certification (PEL).
