Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

📍 Vancouver, BC | Hybrid (In-Office Collaboration Required - 3 days in office/week)

⏳ 6-Month Contract | High Chance of Extension

Pay: $37/hr-$40/hr (T4 only)

What You’ll Do

• Design and execute end-to-end testing strategies across cloud-based services
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases
• Participate in requirements analysis, design reviews, and risk assessments
• Track defects and perform deep software quality and stability analysis
• Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, DevOps, and Product teams
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, performance, scalability, and resiliency
• Stay current on modern testing, cloud, and automation best practices
• Contribute to a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement

Must-Have Qualifications

• Application testing experience (manual + automated)
• Test automation development experience
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Groovy, Shell, or similar)
• 1+ years of professional experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test
• Experience designing or contributing to test frameworks
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Containerization and microservices architectures
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with .NET environments
• Experience testing distributed or cloud-native systems

Interview Process

• 4 stages total
• Phone interview
• On-site interview consisting of:
• 2 technical interviews
• 1 management interview
