6-month contract Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - DNS & AD role with a global retail organization with an on-site work environment.

What & Why:
As a result of continued investment in global workplace technology, our client is looking to add a cloud infrastructure engineer to their core infrastructure team. In this role you’ll own the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-grade Active Directory and DNS infrastructure across hybrid and cloud environments. This is a senior technical leadership role, responsible for setting platform standards, driving automation decisions, mentoring engineers, and leading the resolution of critical infrastructure incidents. Day-to-day work spans architecting highly available AD/DNS environments, driving automation standards, supporting cloud migration initiatives (including AD to Entra ID), and leading the response to critical platform incidents.

They have an all-star leadership team who keeps you accountable and provides support while still affording you tremendous autonomy. They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a primarily in office work environment with 4 days a week in office.
You:
You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:
- 8–10 years of enterprise platform or infrastructure engineering experience, with deep expertise in Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and hybrid cloud environments (Azure or AWS preferred).
- Proven experience with Active Directory migrations to Entra ID, including proficiency with Windows Server, GPOs, and migration tooling.
- Strong background in Enterprise DDI platforms and architecting highly available, secure, and scalable AD/DNS solutions across on-premise and cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure automation, with a track record of driving platform standards across multiple engineering teams.
Compensation
This role pays between $75-94 per hour.
