ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are looking to hire a Software Engineering Intern with at least 8 months of experience to join our engineering team for a 12-month term beginning in August 2026. In this role, you would be joining a team working on building out payment processing and fraud and risk management technologies that power the billing and checkout experiences for our customers.

WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON:

  • Ship technically challenging projects end-to-end in a fast-paced, iterative environment
  • Have the opportunity to propel the business forward, and recognize the impact of your work on the company’s business metrics and user experience
  • Write production-ready, well-tested code
  • Work on full-stack projects within a tight-knit, dynamic team of talented developers
  • Work on enabling web/app tracking for marketing analytics and conversion attribution
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (data, growth, marketing, business stakeholders)

OUR TECH:

  • We use a state of the art architecture powered by microservices written primarily in Python (FastAPI). We use React (with TypeScript) on the frontend, and Postgres/Redis for storage and caching.
  • We use Gitlab for version control and CI/CD, and our infrastructure is hosted on AWS using Kubernetes
  • We use Snowflake and BigQuery as our data warehouses for analytics workloads
  • We invest heavily in monitoring and automated alerting using Datadog
  • We use Amplitude, Hotjar, and LogRocket for client-side metrics and experimentation, and Snowflake for our data warehouse
  • We use Kafka as our primary event bus to transmit data to several product and marketing analytics solutions

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • You have 8 months of full-stack web development work experience, preferably with exposure to a dynamic, startup environment
  • You have experience working with modern Python and have worked on web services, particularly SaaS, as well as internal tools
  • You learn quickly, regardless of the languages and technologies used
  • You have experience taking ownership and shipping entire features end-to-end
  • You thrive on decoding elaborate problems with logical, well-reasoned solutions
  • You are interested in working on both the frontend and backend components of features
  • You are interested in working with React on the frontend and Python on the backend

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Home Office Setup Allowance: $300 one-time
  • Friday UberEats Allowance: $25/week
  • Learning & Development Allowance: $300/ per term
  • Fitness/Wellness Allowance: $120/per term

Candidates can be based anywhere in Canada, provided they maintain a minimum 6-hour overlap with the Eastern Time Zone and are available to work a 40-hour work week.
