As an Assistant Manager in Contract Management at our company, you will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement team by drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing contracts for renewable energy projects. Your responsibilities will include ensuring risk mitigation, commercial protection, and alignment with company policies. Here are the key responsibilities associated with this role:
- Support the procurement function by independently drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing procurement contracts for renewable energy projects.
- Draft, review, and finalize various procurement-related contracts such as EPC, supply, service, O&M, AMC, logistics, and civil/mechanical/electrical packages.
- Develop and customize contract templates, scope of work, payment terms, warranties, and risk clauses to ensure alignment with internal procurement policies and legal guidelines.
- Lead and support commercial and contractual negotiations with vendors, OEMs, EPC contractors, and service providers.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders from Procurement, Legal, Projects, Engineering, Finance, and SCM teams to efficiently close contracts.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company requirements, identify contractual risks, and propose mitigation measures.
- Maintain contract documentation, trackers, and version controls, and support PO issuance, amendments, variations, and closures.
- Possess strong expertise in contract drafting and negotiation within the renewable energy procurement sector.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of procurement contracts for Solar, Wind, Hybrid, and BESS projects.
- Exhibit sound knowledge of commercial terms, Incoterms, LD structures, warranties, guarantees, and risk clauses.
- Showcase strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple contracts simultaneously, and balance commercial objectives with risk mitigation during negotiations.
If you have exposure to IPP/EPC contracting models, experience working with OEMs, EPC contractors, and large vendors, familiarity with internal audits and governance frameworks, and the ability to support the procurement team in vendor selection, evaluation, and management, then you are an ideal candidate for this position.
