Overview

Sunrise Credit Union provides loan and mortgage products to farmers and other agricultural businesses to fund their operation, purchase property and other financial requirements. Under general supervision, is responsible for all credit granting functions within the consumer loans, personal mortgage and small business and agricultural area (depending on market demand) including interviewing members, assessing credit worthiness and underwriting loans within limits and/or recommending or declining loans based on loan risk.

Analyzes financial statements, operating cycles, profit levels, cash flow projections and other factors or variables that affect loan viability and risk. Promote, up sell and cross ell the full range of credit union products with emphasis on small business and agricultural lending products, credit card products, lines of credit and sundry services.

Responsibilities

Sunrise Credit Union prides itself on its relationships with existing and prospective members. As an Agricultural Lender, you will work directly with members to provide advice and financing solutions and proactively develop new relationships to grow the agricultural portfolios through new acquisitions. We understand that each members’ needs are different. We rely on our Agricultural Lenders to combine their agricultural and business knowledge with an in-depth understanding of each member’s current financial position to provide innovative and workable alternatives to help members with their ongoing financial needs at an acceptable level of risk.

You will work collaboratively with other departments and staff to analyze credit information and prepare credit analysis and authorize, renew or decline member requests within Sunrise Credit Union policies and authorized limits. You will proactively promote Sunrise Credit Union’s image within the agricultural community through participation in community initiatives and events.
