Job Description
This leadership position involves overseeing the end-to-end operations of the accidental repair division to ensure high-quality restoration and painting services. The focus is on streamlining insurance claim processes, managing workshop productivity, and maintaining a profitable P&L while adhering to OEM quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire bodyshop workflow from vehicle estimation and insurance approval to final paint finish and delivery.
- Liaise with insurance companies, surveyors, and TPA agents to expedite claim approvals and minimize vehicle downtime.
- Lead and mentor a team of denters, painters, and supervisors to ensure high productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor and control bodyshop profitability by managing labor revenue, paint consumption, and spare parts margins.
- Ensure 100% compliance with OEM standards for structural repairs, welding techniques, and paint booth operations.
- Manage the inventory of paints, consumables, and specialized tools required for collision repairs.
- Analyze daily performance reports through the DMS to track vehicle inflow, repair cycle time, and labor efficiency.
- Address customer grievances related to bodywork quality and ensure high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in automotive bodyshop operations with a reputable dealership or OEM.
- In-depth knowledge of accidental repair estimation, insurance claim documentation, and surveyor negotiation.
- Hands-on understanding of modern painting technologies, dry sanding, and computerized paint mixing.
- Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) for job card management and billing.
- Proven track record of managing a technical team of 15-30 members in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication skills in the local language and English for effective stakeholder management.
Preferred
- Experience working with premium or luxury automotive brands.
- Advanced certification in collision repair or lean workshop management.
- Knowledge of water-borne paint systems and specialized chassis alignment equipment.
