Role Summary

We are hiring for a reputed MNC client looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and frameworks.

In this role, you will work closely with the Client Data Engineering team to transform business requirements into robust technical solutions.

You will be responsible for enhancing existing pipelines, developing new ingestion and transformation workflows, and ensuring production-grade, reliable data systems that support analytics and downstream applications.

️ Key Responsibilities :

Build and enhance end-to-end data pipelines (batch/streaming) from multiple source systems

Develop ETL/ELT workflows to transform, cleanse, and standardize data

Design and optimize data layers (raw, curated, semantic) for analytics and BI

Create reusable frameworks for data ingestion, quality checks, logging, and monitoring

Implement CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment practices

Ensure data quality, validation, and reconciliation across systems

Contribute to data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)

Optimize performance using partitioning, indexing, caching, and query tuning

Maintain data security, governance, and compliance standards

Prepare technical documentation and support smooth handover to operations

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Analytics Engineering / Data Platforms

3+ years Strong expertise in Google Big Query (data modeling, optimization, governance)

4+ years Hands-on experience with Python (ETL) and SQL pipelines.

2+ years hands on experience in Pyspark

2+ years Experience with BI tools ( Looker, Tableau, Metabase, Periscope, etc.

)

Solid understanding of data governance (lineage, cataloging, PII, access control)

Strong stakeholder communication and requirement gathering skills

⭐ Nice to Have

Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool)

Exposure to Amplitude or product analytics tools

Experience in Ed Tech or B2 C Saa S environments

Knowledge of AI for BI / semantic layer tools
