Job Description

As a Manager within the Middle Office team at State Street, you will play a crucial role in ensuring successful service delivery, contract and SLA documentation, change management, and key performance reporting. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the corresponding team in location(s) for responsible client(s), overseeing day-to-day processing, and providing managerial oversight.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for daily BAU, incident management, and SLA adherence.
  • Maintaining an effective Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and monitoring process-level risks and KRIs.
  • Implementing and monitoring risk mitigation controls and best practices in line with global operational risk standards.
  • Leading risk reviews, incident logs, root cause analysis (RCA), and ensuring timely remediation.
  • Communicating expectations to team members and stakeholders clearly and promptly.
  • Identifying, developing, and deploying process improvements to enhance service levels and reduce operational risks.
  • Regularly reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensuring team adherence.
  • Keeping the Client and State Street management informed of issues and ensuring timely follow-up for effective resolutions.
  • Directing and managing project development from strategy development to execution and reporting.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Strong knowledge of trade lifecycle management for Middle Office Services.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Client-centric attitude in managing, prioritizing, and delivering operations and services.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
  • 8-10 years of experience in staff management and leading projects.
  • Experience working at senior levels in an organization and effective communication at that level.
  • Demonstrated accuracy, attention to detail, and influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, along with the ability to work in matrix structures and cross-cultural environments.

Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Degree in finance, business, technology, or equivalent, or relevant industry experience.
  • Strong exposure to risk and control frameworks, audit handling, and process transformation.
  • Proven experience in client communication and interaction at all levels.
