We are currently recruiting for multiple Health Care Technician II positions that will function as a Therapeutic Support Specialist II (TSS II) at Central Regional Hospital (CRH) on the Screening and Admissions Unit (SAU). SAU coordinates the screening of all prospective patients for admission, coordinates the admission process for all patients, and complies with EMTALA guidelines.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Range: $32,444.00 - $48,665.00
Recruitment Range: $39,312.00 - $48,665.00
*Limited-Time Sign-On Bonus for CNAs (Nursing Department Only)
Total: $15,000
• Receive $4,000 in 1st paycheck following start date
• Receive $5,000 after 12 consecutive months
• Receive $6,000 after 18 consecutive months
Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.
The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:
Ability to use computer, fax machine, and copy machine
Outstanding customer service and telephone etiquette
Conditional Requirements:
Must be NA I Certified (C.N.A.)
Must obtain notary within one year
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be able to obtain CPI Applied Physical Skills (APS) and CPR within 60 days.
This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.
We Will Be Recruiting For Multiple Positions With This Post. Your Application Will Be Considered For All Noted Open Positions.
Shift Premiums:
Day Shift: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. receives 5% on Weekends.
Evening Shift: 3:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. receives 20% shift and an additional 5% on weekends.
Night Shift: 11:30 p.m. - 8:00 a.m. receives 10% and an additional 5% on weekends.
*Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus
To qualify for the Sign-on Bonus, a newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible. Those who are eligible and working less than 40 hours a week will receive a prorated rate.
An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if:
The employee has held a position in the North Carolina State government, including the judicial system, or the University of North Carolina system, within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date)
The employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency
DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.
