Main Purpose of Job
This position serves as the Communications Department Special Projects Manager. The incumbent will provide administrative support to the Director of Communications and manage special projects and team members assigned to those projects. The special projects may include procurement, research and applying for Federal and Private Grants, manage the translation of content into languages other than English, as well as coordinating projects with other offices within the Department of Human Services. \r\n
POSITION DUTIES
\r\n Assists Deputy Secretary in managing and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks from the Communications Office. \r\n Research grants and funding streams and ensures departmental compliance. \r\n Sets and maintains itinerary for the Director and Deputy Director of Communications.\r\n Schedules and organizes complex activities such as travel, conferences and department activities for the Director and Deputy Director. \r\n Prepares agendas and schedules for meetings and records, transcribes, and distributes meeting minutes for the Director.\r\n\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Writing from an accredited college or university.\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience: Four years of professional writing and four years of marketing project management.\r\n

Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.\r\n\r\n\r\n Two years of experience managing a team of writers.\r\n\r\n\r\n
