We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and compliant cloud infrastructure supporting NCCIH’s digital platforms and research initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bridge development and operations, ensuring efficient CI/CD pipelines, system reliability, and adherence to federal security standards. Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) for high availability and scalability Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment workflows Monitor system performance, availability, and incident response using observability tools Collaborate with development, security, and data teams to streamline deployment processes Manage configuration, patching, and environment consistency across systems Support disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity planning Document processes, architecture, and operational procedures Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) ~6–10+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering ~ Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure preferred) ~ Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or similar) ~ Understanding of networking, security, and system administration ~ Experience with AI/ML infrastructure pipelines Exposure to zero-trust architecture or advanced cybersecurity practices
