Personal Support worker - Driver - Italian speaker-4/5 days Live

Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to a female, 90 something in her private home. You should be familiar with the behaviour of persons with dementia.

We require a driver and someone who can speak Italian. Family car is available to use. Uber is provided to get you to and from work.

The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of the elder through personalized support and caregiving. This role is essential for ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity.

Duties & Hours

Sunday 7pm to Thursday or Friday 7pm(Live in / stay overnight is a must)

• Excellent companionship.
• Keep her safe. She is mobile but walks a little slow.
• Oversee her supplements and monitor health conditions
• Prepare healthy meal. Take her out to breakfast occasionally.
• Engage her in meaningful cognitive and fun activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
• Just tidy up after yourself... no heavy cleaning.
• Ensure a safe environment
• Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with family members
• Support with knowledge of dementia by implementing specialized care plans
• Experience
• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is preferred
• Knowledge of patient care techniques and dementia care
• Experience working with seniors
• Training or background in caregiving, nursing, or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed
• Strong communication skills and compassionate attitude are essential for building trusting relationships.
