Job Description: Patient Counsellor (Hospital Experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Counseling & Conversion
• Counsel OP patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and available hospital facilities.
• Provide detailed information about admission procedures, packages, insurance/TPA coverage, and benefits.
• Convert OP patients into IP patients by effectively addressing concerns, clarifying doubts, and reassuring them about quality of care.
• Communication & Relationship Management
• Act as the primary point of contact between the patient, family, and treating consultants.
• Handle patient queries with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and the admission desk to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate counseling records, conversion statistics, and patient feedback.
• Generate daily/weekly reports on OP-to-IP conversion ratios and patient trends.
• Supportive Care
• Provide emotional support to patients and families during decision-making.
• Guide patients regarding post-admission processes, facilities, and services available.
• Other Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and ethical standards.
• Participate in patient engagement and satisfaction initiatives.
• Assist in awareness programs, health camps, or promotional activities as needed.
• Qualifications & Skills

Education: Graduate / Post Graduate (preferably in Life Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, or Hospital Administration).
