Experience Required: 5 to 12 years

Job Summary

The ECHO Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures to assist physicians in evaluating the function and structure of the heart. The technician ensures high-quality imaging, patient comfort, and accurate reporting in accordance with established protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Perform 2D, M-Mode, Doppler, and Color Flow echocardiographic studies as per physician requests.

Assist cardiologists during stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and other cardiac imaging procedures.

Prepare and position patients for the procedure while explaining the process clearly.

Operate and maintain echocardiography machines and related equipment in good working condition.

Record and store images, ensuring completeness and accuracy of patient data.

Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret results.

Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and follow hospital/clinic protocols.

Ensure infection control and proper sanitization of equipment after every use.

Participate in continuous training and stay updated with the latest echocardiography practices and technologies.

Qualifications & Skills

B.Sc. in Cardiac Technology, Echocardiography, or equivalent qualification.

Certification or training in Echocardiography from a recognized institution preferred.

Proficiency in operating echocardiography machines and interpreting images.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: As per industry standards / Negotiable based on experience
