job Description – Executive Accounts (Accounts Payable) Position: Executive – Accounts Payable Department: Finance & Accounts Reporting To: Accounts Manager / Finance Manager Location: Pallikaranai Experience: 2+years Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA /CMA Inter (preferred) Only eligible MALE Candidate, shall forward their profile to hrcareer@sgbpl.in ; whatsapp : 6384009350 software experience required especially NAVISION , MS Dynamics 365, Advanced Exell, Job Summary The Executive – Accounts Payable is responsible for managing vendor invoices, processing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling supplier accounts, and ensuring timely payment processing in compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable Operations Verify, process, and record vendor invoices accurately in the accounting/ERP system. Match purchase orders, goods receipt notes (GRN), and invoices before processing payments. Ensure timely processing of vendor payments through bank transfers, cheques, or other approved payment methods. Prepare and maintain accounts payable ageing reports. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly. Coordinate with procurement, stores, and operations teams for invoice clarifications. Financial Management Post journal entries related to accounts payable transactions. Monitor outstanding payables and maintain payment schedules. Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing activities. Maintain proper documentation and filing of invoices, payment records, and supporting documents. Compliance & Controls Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls. Verify tax deductions and statutory compliance (GST, TDS, etc.) before processing payments. Support internal and external audits by providing required documents and reports. Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of financial information. Reporting Prepare periodic reports on vendor balances, payment status, and payable ageing. Generate MIS reports as required by management. Track due dates and proactively avoid payment delays or penalties. Month End closing Required SkillsTechnical Skills Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable processes. Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliances. Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF formulas). Experience in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central, or similar). Knowledge of bank reconciliation and financial reporting.
