Job description
SSM is currently recruiting for a Senior Municipal Engineer with 15-20 years of experience to join our growing team. The Senior Municipal Engineer will:
- Design and manage stormwater management and traffic/transportation projects.
- Manage municipal road improvement projects, bid and construction phase.
- Represent municipal clients.
- Coordinate the Land Development Plan review process.
- Positively impact the firm’s municipal business line nurturing current relationships and developing new ones.
Qualifications
- 15 – 20 years of experience in municipal engineering; at least 5 years as a primary representative.
- A background in stormwater management and traffic/transportation.
- Experience managing municipal road improvement projects; reviewing development plans; and attending public meetings.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineering License in PE in Pennsylvania; other state registrations, especially DE and NY are a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present technical information in front of large groups at municipal meetings.
- Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time; managing budgets and resources available to satisfy client needs. The skill and interest to multi-task on a variety of diverse assignments and within required timeframes.
- The ability to establish, maintain, and cultivate exceptional relationships with coworkers, clients, vendors and other stakeholders.
- A proven track record in developing new business and enriching existing relationships.
This position is based out of our Reading PA office; however, there may be flexibility for a hybrid-remote work model.
