This position involves maturing our central member-facing services, particularly in areas such as entitlements, permissions, and data management, which are critical to supporting integrated product offerings like SoFi Plus. You’ll be working within a highly collaborative environment where planning and executing through a unified campaign lens is essential due to the complexity and interdependencies of these initiatives.</p> <p>At SoFi, we pride ourselves on the collaboration between Product, Design, and Engineering, and you will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through building, deploying, and continual improvement and evolution - and you’ll be working with an all-star team of talented engineers.</p> <p>What you’ll do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work on React-based web applications with a cross-functional team.</p> </li> <li> <p>Develop testable and accessible web applications.</p> </li> <li> <p>Work with designers to identify and solve potential implementation issues.</p> </li> <li> <p>Generate, enhance, and promote ideas for useful new projects and technologies.</p> </li> <li> <p>Deliver and operate highly available and scalable services in a production environment.</p> </li> <li> <p>Communicate with project leads, product managers, and other software developers on multiple projects.</p> </li> </ul> <p>What you’ll need:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a technical field, but we understand great engineers come from a variety of different backgrounds and we also consider relevant work experience.</p> </li> <li> <p>2+ years of experience with modern JavaScript libraries, tooling, and frameworks.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong knowledge of front-end technologies.</p> </li> <li> <p>Familiarity with responsive design/development and mobile-web best practices.</p> </li> <li> <p>Solid understanding of software design and architecture.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience in unit, functional, and end-to-end testing.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience with Node.js is a plus.</p> </li> <li> <p>Willingness to roll up your sleeves, collaborate with others, and get stuff done.</p> </li> <li> <p>Solid sense of responsibility; driving a project from inception to completion.</p> </li> <li> <p>Affinity for solving problems and shipping impactful features, not polishing perfect code or architecture.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience working in a collaborative coding environment, refining designs together, working through code reviews, and managing pull requests.</p> </li> </ul> <p>Nice to have:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Interest in personal finance.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience managing your own investments or experience taking out loans.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience scaling highly available, mission-critical systems.</p> </li> <li> <p>Full-stack experience, either toward systems (Kafka, Docker, POSIX), databases (Postgres), or front-end (JavaScript/TypeScript, React).</p> </li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><div class="gmail_default"><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></div> <div class="gmail_default">The base pay range for this role is listed below.
