We’re growing and adding more talent to help fulfill this valuable mission. That’s where you come in.
The Challenge to Solve
Deliver a world-class employee experience while ensuring our global people operations processes are accurate, scalable, and compliant as Slice continues to grow.
The Role
As a Global People Operations Specialist, you'll help power the day-to-day operations that support employees across Slice's global workforce. You'll own critical people processes across the US and Canada, including benefits administration, employee lifecycle management, leave administration, compliance, employee support, and coordination with payroll and HR systems.
This is a highly operational role for someone who enjoys creating order, solving problems, and delivering excellent employee experiences. You'll serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers while ensuring the details behind the scenes are handled accurately and efficiently.
You'll inherit strong foundations, but you'll also have the opportunity to improve processes and help shape what's next. From supporting our upcoming HiBob implementation to helping modernize our employee support workflows, you'll play an important role in building the future of People Operations at Slice.
Key focus areas include:
- Administering benefits programs across the US and Canada and serving as a primary point of contact for employee questions.
- Managing leave of absence programs, workers' compensation administration, and related employee communications.
- Owning employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, and terminations.
- Maintaining compliance documentation, policy libraries, and regulatory requirements across your assigned geographies.
- Partnering closely with Payroll, Finance, IT, and People team members to ensure accurate and seamless employee experiences.
- Auditing and maintaining employee data quality across HR systems.
- Contributing to HR systems projects, process improvements, workflow documentation, and automation initiatives.
- Supporting employee requests through our ticketing system and helping maintain service-level expectations.
The Team
The People Operations team is responsible for the systems, processes, and support that help Slice employees thrive. You will report to the Head of People Operations and partner closely with teammates across People, Payroll, Finance, and IT.
The Winning Recipe
- 2+ years of experience in HR operations, people operations, benefits administration, or a related field.
- Experience administering employee benefits programs and supporting employee questions across multiple benefit offerings.
- Experience managing leave of absence programs, including medical, parental, disability, or statutory leave programs.
- Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive work accurately.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- Comfort working with employee data and maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Experience partnering across functions to deliver operational processes and employee support.
Nice to Have
- Experience with BSwift or a comparable benefits administration platform.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now, UKG, HiBob, or similar HR systems.
- Familiarity with US benefits administration and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting Canadian HR operations, benefits, or employment legislation.
- Workers' compensation administration experience.
- Experience documenting workflows, supporting systems implementations, or participating in process improvement projects.
- Curiosity about AI and new technologies that improve operational efficiency.
