As an Organizational Strategy Lead, you will be responsible for crafting and delivering quality solutions in business transformation areas, including operating model and organizational design. You will also be responsible for contributing to business development (including sales solutioning to meet client needs) and you will be responsible for leading workstreams on client projects, with oversight of other consultants delivering within those workstreams. As the day-to-day point of contact for clients, you will ensure smooth communication and project execution. We are seeking future minded and systems thinking influencers to join our team to help develop strategic plans and execute them in partnership with cross-functional teams. This role facilitates transformation by using an approach that incorporates five core capabilities: strategy development, business model determination, operating model build, organization design, and talent optimization. This role focuses on the people and behavior side of complex business transformation efforts, helping organizations and cultures transform through people focused strategies.

What You’ll Do

  • Evaluate, understand, and solution for complex organizational needs
  • Craft and deliver quality organizational strategy and business transformation solutions, including organizational and operating model design, process optimization, talent optimization, change enablement, leadership development, learning & development, team effectiveness and cultural transformation
  • Drive AI-Enabled Organization Design: Utilize AI-powered tools and data analytics tools to assess organizational structures, model future-state scenarios, and generate actionable insights for design decisions.
  • Lead complex discussions, analyze business strategy and organizational architecture, and design impactful business interactions. In partnership with client stakeholders, shape the vision, structure, and design of initiatives before execution. Deliver work at a strategic and transformational level to drive significant business outcomes.
  • Play a significant role in business development and sales solutioning efforts by understanding client needs, collaborating across internal teams to structure cross-functional solutions (often including both business and technology capabilities), gaining internal alignment on the proposed solution, and preparing and assisting with presenting sales materials to clients
  • Work in multiple disciplines across various industries
  • Build client knowledge, credibility, and meaningful relationships quickly (projects vary in length, lasting anywhere from a few weeks to several months)
  • Work with both internal and client teams to integrate organizational strategy, talent, and change activities into overall project plans and roadmaps
  • Build trust with clients by clearly explaining Slalom’s processes and approach, proactively addressing underlying needs, and resolving issues promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary.
  • Translate complex information into a clear and meaningful story by managing ambiguity and collaborating with other Slalom capabilities to deliver comprehensive solutions.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience, with 5+ years of progressive experience leading complex organizational transformations, including the design and execution of organizational strategy, operating model design and organizational design, process optimization, talent optimization, change enablement, and learning and development strategy. Experience designing organizational structures for small, mid-sized and large-scale organizations (10K+ employees) in various contexts including global operations, cloud and D&A operations
  • Advanced Organizational Design role mastery and expertise in organization diagnostics, operating model design, structure design including spans and layers analysis, and job architecture. Demonstrated experience using AI-driven analytics tools, platforms, or methodologies in organization design (i.e. OrgVue), workforce planning, or organizational effectiveness projects
  • 5+ years of leading cross-functional engagements / project teams and delivering complex solutions across business and technology.
  • 5+ years of experience consulting for clients (internal or external) and leading the delivery of other consultants. Demonstrated ability to lead challenging client conversations and navigate ambiguity autonomously.
  • Excellent workshop design and facilitation skills - ability to lead the design and facilitation of strategic planning sessions, helping align leaders around a shared mission, vision and strategy of a business unit.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, partner with executives, and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong data analytics and research skill sets- ability to research and analyze organizational, process and functional data to tell compelling stories and bring meaningful insights to our clients
  • Industry experience in financial services / insurance sector and public sector preferred
  • Bilingualism in English and French (written and spoken) is preferred

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the expected base salary pay range for a Sr. Consultant is $90,000-130,000 and $118,000 to $150,000 for a Principal. In addition, there is potential for a 10-12% discretionary bonus based on leveling and individual and company performance. Actual compensation will depend upon individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
