Experience: 4–8 Years
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Transport Incharge to manage end-to-end transportation operations for raw material and finished goods movement. The candidate will be responsible for dispatch planning, fleet/vendor management, transportation cost control, compliance, and ensuring smooth logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan daily dispatch schedules, route planning, and load optimization
- Coordinate vehicle allocation and monitor movement through GPS/TMS
- Manage transport vendors, fleet operators, and 3PL partners
- Negotiate freight rates and monitor transporter performance KPIs
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods
- Handle transportation documentation including e-way bills, invoices, permits, and insurance claims
- Track freight costs, detention charges, and prepare daily/weekly MIS reports
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, loading procedures, and driver training
- Investigate transport incidents and conduct root cause analysis (RCA)

- OTIF (On Time In Full) > 98%
- Vehicle utilization > 85%
- Freight cost control within budget
- Product damage below 0.1%
Eligibility Criteria
- 4–8 years of experience in transport/logistics operations within manufacturing or supply chain industries
- Strong knowledge of transport planning and fleet management
- Hands-on experience in SAP/TMS and Advanced Excel
- Good negotiation, coordination, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage vendors and handle operational issues effectively
