Line Cook (Food Handler Certified)

Job Overview

We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working the line in a fast-paced environment and must possess a valid Food Handler’s Certification. Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstation
• Ensure food is stored and handled properly, following all health and safety regulations
• Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate and complete orders during service
• Assist with prep tasks and support other kitchen roles as needed
• Follow proper food handling procedures and maintain accurate labeling and dating

Requirements

• Proven experience as a line cook in a commercial kitchen
• Valid Food Handler’s Certification (required)
• Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and multitask efficiently
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions
• Able to stand for long periods and lift to 50 lbs.
• Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and evenings

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with multiple cooking stations (grill, sauté, fry, etc.)
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to food quality and consistency

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
