Production Supervisor

We are currently under a new ownership, we have ambitious plans and we are seeking for a talented Production Supervisor who wants to be part of them!

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the supervision of the shop fabrication team
• Assist with operating all equipment; shears, benders, robotic welding and forklifts
• Complete daily activity reports
• Collaborate with admin on fabrication and delivery schedules
• Oversees the Execution of Fabrication Requirements
• Anticipates problems by monitoring the progress of the production schedule to the actual work performed, in order to ensure projects stay on time and all deadlines are met.
• Monitors daily consumables and requisitions materials and supplies as needed.
• Anticipates workload for each individual in order to maximize production output and ensure no bottlenecks in the process.
• Guides and coaches staff on how to proceed when problems are encountered to ensure that they are resolved promptly. Trains associates on the job, as required
• Leads by example, promotes and enforces safe work practices and submission of incident reports.
• Other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience within a supervisory role
• Post-secondary related education is a plus
• Experience with Global Shop or related ERP software would be considered an asset
• Understand OHSA plus safety regulations and lead by example a must
• Great organizational and time management skills to lead, schedule and coordinate a team to complete multiple tasks
• Outstanding people and communication skills to inspire, motivate and persuade their team in meeting all company goals
• Able to supervise others’ work and coach for performance
• Good problem solving, equipment maintenance and assembling work knowledge
• Able to work in high pressure and time sensitive conditions with a well-rounded work ethic and positive attitude
• Able to work and communicate effectively with cross functional team members

Salary

Starting at $65,000.00 per year, dependent on skill and experience.

Shift: 7 am - 3:30 pm Mon-Fri, occassional Saturday
