Food/Convenience Delivery Driver - CDL A

OVERVIEW

Transport and deliver all products from the Distribution Center or Terminal to the various store locations in a safe and timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

1. Must consistently demonstrate respectful and professional behavior including interactions between customers and Sheetz employees.

2. Inspect truck and trailer for defects and safe operating condition before, during, and after trips and submit written report on the condition of the truck-trailer at the end of each trip or tour of duty.

3. Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.

4. Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations including, but not limited to; driver’s log, mileage records, and Bill of Lading .

5. Report all highway safety hazards noted in route, accidents involving driver or company equipment, and delays due to break-downs, weather or traffic conditions .

6. Load and unload product in a manner that ensure safety and minimal risk of damage to product. Verify that product is being held and delivered at appropriate temperatures to maintain product integrity, appearance and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High School, GED, or equivalent required

Experience

• Eligible for interstate driving required
• Minimum 2 years experience and 130,000 verifiable tractor trailer miles required OR successful completion of the Driver Trainee Program

Licenses/Certifications

• Class A CDL required
• Valid Medical Examiners Certificate (medical card) in accordance with DOT Guidelines required

Tools & Equipment (Other than general office equipment):

• Company vehicles
• Scanners
• 2-wheel hand carts
• Onboard computer

Other

• Commute distance must be less than 1 hour and 15 minutes from work location
