Job description
Since 1984, Share Our Strength® has led the fight against hunger and poverty by inspiring and organizing individuals and businesses to share their strengths. Today, through the No Kid Hungry campaign, Share Our Strength is ending childhood hunger in America by ensuring all children get the healthy food they need. No child should go hungry in America – we’re on our way to making that a reality and we want you to join us. We’re bold, creative, always open to new ideas, and 100% dedicated to our mission. If that sounds like you, we’d like you to consider becoming part of our team.
As a member of the Social Media Team, the Senior Manager, Social Media Content leads organic content strategy across all channels for the No Kid Hungry and Share Our Strength brands. This role brings together editorial instinct, creator relationships, and platform-specific knowledge to tell compelling stories that move national audiences, from high-production campaign moments to fast-moving real-time content that rapidly positions organization messaging in a way that strengthens our narrative power. The ideal candidate is as comfortable setting strategy in a planning meeting as well as talking with creators and celebrities to create content as they are cutting together a timely trend video.
Regular projects for this role include leading social media content strategy, including analyzing post performance and messaging to better engage digital audiences, shaping campaign ideas to inspire these audiences to take action, ensuring that our content streams represent an equitable, diverse, and inclusive vision, and supporting our org-wide efforts to mobilize and empower a network of influencers across multiple channels.
This position is preferably based in Washington DC; but could be fully remote for the right candidate. The position offers a salary range of $82k-$91k. Exact compensation within the stated salary range may vary based on skills, experience, internal equity, and geographical location.
