Do you have proven experience in a variety of talent acquisition activities, including sourcing, and can you offer exceptional recruitment experience to the hiring managers?

Can you drive impactful initiatives that enhance the employee experience and optimize operational efficiency?

In this role, you'll be facilitating complete employee sourcing, recruitment, and selection practices and processes. Your responsibilities will include conducting market analysis, making recommendations, negotiating offers, providing guidance to hiring managers, ensuring compliance with legal standards, sourcing candidates through various channels including social media, establishing candidate connections, maintaining data integrity, and integrating continuous improvement into recruitment practices.

Talent Acquisition

  • Developing and executing sourcing strategies to identify and attract qualified and diverse candidates for current and future roles.
  • Provides comprehensive support throughout the recruitment cycle, including shortlisting, resume screening, and interviewing.
  • Ensures compliance with legal requirements and policies.
  • Manage candidate communication and interview scheduling.
  • Reviews and evaluates interview questions and tests for validity.
  • Coaches hiring managers on unbiased assessment methods.
  • Designs job-specific questionnaires and conducts telephone interviews.
  • Manages candidates throughout the interview process.

Talent Sourcing

  • Utilize online channels such as LinkedIn, professional networks, and job boards to actively source potential candidates for both current and upcoming positions.
  • Conducting market research to understand hiring trends and labor market conditions and providing insights and recommendations to the organization.
  • Proactively reach out to passive candidates who may not be actively seeking employment but possess the necessary skills and qualifications for the roles. This involves personalized messaging and networking to attract top talent.
  • Tap into networking opportunities and industry events to expand the reach of candidate sourcing efforts. Building relationships within the industry can lead to valuable referrals and connections to high-quality candidates.
  • Maintain a pipeline of screened candidates, organized based on their skills, experience, and suitability for different roles. This pipeline serves as a valuable resource for future hiring needs, allowing for quick access to qualified candidates when new positions become available.

Analysis and Decision making

  • Negotiate compensation with the candidates. This includes anticipating potential areas of contention and proactively addressing concerns to facilitate a higher acceptance rate.
  • Acquires comprehensive job knowledge, including experience, skills and behavioral competencies to understand job and role specifications.
  • Creates job postings and interview questions that captures the requirements of the selection criteria.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate and build relationship with hiring managers, HR partners, and other stakeholders to understand their hiring needs, expectations, and challenges
  • Fosters and builds relationships with candidates to ensure high acceptance rates and positive employee/candidate experience

What you bring to Seneca

  • Extensive experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
  • Previous experience supporting academic or specialized recruitment within a complex organizational environment is preferred
  • Prefer recruitment experience in a unionized environment.
  • Experience in conducting market research to understand hiring trends and labor market conditions, with the ability to source candidates.
  • Post Secondary Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or any other related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Faculty & Teaching Positions For professor positions, we require copies of official transcripts directly from the issuing institution or credential evaluation from World Education Services (WES) or International Credential Assessment Service (ICAS). However, we recommend that candidates gather any supporting documentation (e.g., unofficial transcripts, scan of credentials) in advance to support their applications in the event that they are successful in the hiring process. The compensation step will be determined based on receiving and verifying relevant formal education through official transcripts and relevant work experience, in accordance with the salary placement calculation process.
