- Define and Deliver Strategy: Partner with the Product Management and Data Science leadership to set long-term goals for engagement, retention, and monetization, grounded in both player insight and business priorities.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Build scalable processes for planning, executing, and measuring live events and content updates across global regions.
- Collaborate with The Pokémon Company (TPC and TPCi): Align on brand, IP integration, and content approvals to deliver authentic Pokémon experiences.
- Champion the Player Experience: Maintain a deep empathy for player sentiment and advocate for healthy game balance and fun at every stage of planning.
- Mentor and Inspire Teams: Lead a multidisciplinary global team of Producers and Product Managers to deliver world-class live content.
- Own Business Health Metrics: Regularly track and report on KPIs to executive leadership.
- Foster Innovation: Identify new ways to keep Pokémon GO fresh, social, and relevant in an ever-evolving market, leveraging the breadth of existing systems and content in the game.
What You Will Need
- 12+ years of experience in live service game development, including 5+ years in a senior leadership or director-level role overseeing operations for large-scale global titles.
- Proven success managing complex, cross-functional teams in a live service environment.
- Deep understanding of player engagement loops, economy management, and event-driven retention strategies.
- Strong analytical mindset with comfort interpreting data to guide creative and operational decisions.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across disciplines and partner organizations.
- Passion for Pokémon and Scopely’s mission to connect people through real-world play.
- Experience working with major IP partners is strongly preferred.
- Fluency in Japanese is a plus.
