Job Description

Science Collective™ is a design-driven e-commerce brand and creative studio that celebrates the culture of scientific research through playful, community-focused designs. We create science-themed stationery, apparel, and gifts for scientists and students around the world, and we also collaborate with leading life-science companies on custom branded merchandise and campaigns.

We’re looking for a Creative Designer who’s excited about combining illustration, product design, and marketing - someone who can help us grow our product line and strengthen our visual identity across web, email, and marketing channels.

Role Overview

As a Creative Designer, you’ll collaborate directly with our founder on product development and marketing projects.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Turning creative concepts into visually appealing illustrated products (stickers, pins, apparel, notebooks, etc.)
  • Designing engaging marketing visuals for email campaigns, social media, and website launches
  • Maintaining a consistent brand aesthetic
  • Helping with photo editing, mockups, and print file preparation

You’ll play a key role in bringing new collections to life and making our online presence feel polished, cohesive, and inspiring.

Key Responsibilities

Product Design

  • Create digital illustrations and artwork for new product collections
  • Design product packaging and printed promotional materials
  • Prepare print-ready files based on manufacturer templates (CMYK, bleed, dielines, etc.)

Marketing Design

  • Create promotional banners and visuals for the website

Brand Support

  • Maintain brand consistency across all visuals

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with digital illustration and graphic design using Adobe Illustrator
  • Demonstrated ability to create digital art in a style that is compatible with our brand aesthetic
  • Excellent proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and InDesign (photoshop is a plus)
  • Excellent sense of color, typography, and composition
  • Understanding of print production (preparing print-ready files)
  • Familiarity with email marketing (Shopify Emails, Klaviyo) is a plus
