Oversee carpentry and maintenance operations as a Manager focusing on enhancing building functionality with a collaborative approach. Lead diverse trades teams to implement facility upgrades while ensuring effective service delivery.
In this managerial role, you will coordinate the maintenance department's activities and manage projects funded by the Annual Facility Grant (AFG). You will evaluate building maintenance efficiently and promote safety within a public sector environment. Effectively manage resources, schedules, and workforce performance while collaborating closely with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate client interactions and service requests
- Schedule and assign work to maintenance staff
- Develop long- and short-term planning strategies
- Recommend improvements for building maintenance designs
- Train and orient staff effectively
Requirements
- Trade qualification and facility/project management diploma
- Minimum three years of facilities management experience
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance principles
- Familiarity with maintenance software and safety programs
- Valid BC driver’s license for business vehicle use
