Senior, Digital Workplace Engineer - Copilot Administrator

Exp - 4-6 yrs

Location - Bangalore (Hybrid)

Job Summary

The Copilot Administrator will support the operational management of Microsoft Copilot across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. The role focuses on ensuring reliable service enablement, maintaining governance and compliance standards, and providing day to day support for users and business teams. The administrator will work closely with M365 operations, security, and architecture teams to ensure Copilot functions effectively at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and monitor Copilot features across Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Manage Copilot licenses, access controls, and configuration compliance with organizational policies.
  • Troubleshoot Copilot related issues, including feature access, integration behavior, and data availability. related issues, including feature access, integration behavior, and data availability.
  • Support L2/L3 incident and service request resolution for Copilot and related M365 workloads.
  • Maintain documentation for operational procedures, configurations, best practices, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate with M365 engineering, security, and architecture teams for feature deployment, governance adherence, and policy updates.
  • Assist with pilot testing, rollout validation, feedback gathering, and user enablement activities.
  • Ensure Copilot usage complies with security, Responsible AI, and data governance standards.

Required Skills and Experience

  • BE/BTech degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration and operations.
  • Strong understanding of M365 workloads: SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Office apps, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Hands on experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Center and related admin portals.
  • Experience automating or supporting tasks using PowerShell for M365.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance fundamentals (retention, DLP, permissions, policies).
  • Familiarity with Copilot features, licensing, governance concepts, or AI driven productivity tools. driven productivity tools.
  • Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global operations environment.
