Job description

Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms.

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced PLM Business Systems Analyst to join our Enterprise Technology organization. This role blends a traditional Business Analyst position with light Scrum Master responsibilities. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to make sure PLM initiatives are clearly defined and delivered without disruption.

This is a fast-paced environment where multiple initiatives run in parallel as we scale the design and production of advanced autonomous maritime systems. We move quickly from stakeholder conversations to development-ready scope. You should be comfortable juggling several projects and competing deadlines without dropping quality.

You will act as the liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, translating needs into clear, buildable requirements. You will also serve as a trusted advisor on effective, scalable use of Teamcenter, operating as an in-house functional consultant for the platform.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, proactive, and experienced with Teamcenter or another PLM system at an advanced manufacturing company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Requirements and Documentation: Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, functional specs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflow flows. Write requirements that account for core PLM processes (EBOM/MBOM management, engineering change management, CAD data management, part and document management, workflow, configuration management). Deliver development-ready scope quickly.
  • Trusted Advisor: Serve as the in-house functional expert for Teamcenter. Guide the business toward best-practice configurations and push back on requests that would create long-term complexity or technical debt.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Own several PLM initiatives at once. Track action items, deadlines, and dependencies across all of them. Triage competing demands by impact and keep every workstream moving. Provide regular status updates so leadership can track progress, weigh tradeoffs, and remove blockers.
  • Delivery and Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a delivery partner to product owners and delivery teams. Make sure scope, dependencies, and integration touchpoints across Teamcenter and connected systems (CAD, ERP, MES, requirements management tools) are understood and managed throughout the project lifecycle. Serve as the liaison across Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality, and convene the right people early to align on scope.
  • Agile and Backlog Support: Facilitate or assist with backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Keep the backlog prioritized and stories well-defined, properly sized, and aligned with business goals.
  • Releases and Upgrades: Support planning around Teamcenter upgrades, patches, and new-feature adoption, including impact assessment, regression testing, and rollout.
  • Risk, Process, and Traceability: Identify risks, dependencies, and delivery blockers early, especially across Teamcenter workflows, BOM management, engineering change processes, access and security, reporting, and integrations. Recommend practical process improvements. Maintain high-quality documentation and preserve the digital thread from requirements through design, manufacturing, testing, and release.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Information Systems, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst in enterprise or engineering environments.
  • Experience supporting projects involving Teamcenter or a comparable PLM platform such as Arena, PTC Windchill, or Aras Innovator.
  • Understanding of core PLM processes, including EBOM/MBOM management, engineering change management (ECR/ECO/ECN), CAD data management, part and document management, workflow, and configuration management.
  • Familiarity with common PLM integrations, including CAD tools (NX, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or Creo) and ERP/MES systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to write clear, detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria quickly.
  • Strong experience on Agile or Scrum projects and familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Siemens Xcelerator Academy Teamcenter certification, such as a Teamcenter Associate or role-based credential.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or a regulated hardware manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with configuration management standards and handling of export-controlled or otherwise sensitive engineering data.
  • Exposure to hardware production scale-up, where PLM, ERP, and shop-floor systems must stay tightly aligned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Occasional standing and walking within the office
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
  • Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports
  • Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies
  • Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages)
