Location: Belgaum, Dharwad, Davangiri, Udupi, Ahmednagar, Satara, Aurangabad, Sangli, Kolhapur, Sindhudurg, Solapur, Nashik / Sinnar, Raigad (Alibaug), Jalgaon
Purpose
Promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of school students through health education, counselling, and coordinated support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct health awareness sessions on nutrition, hygiene, substance abuse, and healthy lifestyles.
- Provide basic counselling and emotional support; identify students facing stress, anxiety, bullying, or behavioural issues.
- Organize individual/group counselling and life skills activities (resilience, self-esteem, stress management).
- Orient teachers on recognizing emotional/behavioural concerns; run parent awareness sessions on adolescent mental health.
- Coordinate referrals to mental health professionals, healthcare providers, and district education authorities.
- Coordinate and organize community-level health camps in collaboration with local doctors and healthcare teams; provide logistical and technical support to local doctors during camp activities.
- Maintain confidential records and prepare monthly reports.
Qualifications: MSW, Counselling, or related Master's degree. Prior experience in school health, counselling, or child development preferred.
Skills: Counselling, child/adolescent engagement, child safeguarding, community health coordination, report writing, basic computer proficiency.
