Job Description
We’re Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI + Data + CRM. We are looking for enthusiastic Hybrid Senior Developers to join our Business Technology Applications team.
This is a unique role designed for an engineer who masters the balance between feature development and quality engineering. As a Hybrid Dev/QA, you will own the end-to-end delivery of complex features—from writing the initial Apex or MuleSoft logic to designing the automated test suites that ensure long-term stability.
Responsibilities
Hybrid Delivery: Own the full development lifecycle. Spend roughly 70% of your time on feature development (Salesforce/MuleSoft) and 30% on building robust automation frameworks and quality gates.
Quality Advocacy: Lead code and test-plan reviews. Ensure that every line of code is backed by meaningful unit tests (Apex) and integration tests (MuleSoft/MUnit).
Automation Engineering: Design and maintain automated end-to-end testing scripts using tools like Selenium, Provar, or Playwright to validate complex Salesforce workflows.
Integration Support: Develop basic integration flows in MuleSoft and ensure they are resilient by performing automated interface and contract testing.
Performance & Debugging: Deep dive into the stack to debug performance bottlenecks at the client layer, Apex layer, or within middleware transformations.
Shift-Left Strategy: Work with Product Owners to define "Definition of Done" and "Acceptance Criteria," ensuring quality is baked in from the requirement stage.
Required Skills and Experience:
Salesforce Development: 4+ years of hands-on experience with LWC, Apex, and Flows.
MuleSoft Fundamentals: Basic hands-on experience with the Anypoint Platform. Ability to build simple flows and understand how to test API responses.
QA Automation: Proven experience in building automation frameworks for Salesforce. Familiarity with Apex Unit Testing, MUnit, and browser automation tools.
Hybrid Mindset: You are a developer who believes "it’s not done until it’s tested." Strong knowledge of the Testing Pyramid and how it applies to the Salesforce platform.
AI & Innovation: Understanding of AI concepts, specifically Salesforce Agentforce and how to automate the testing of AI-driven interactions.
Architectural Fluency: Knowledge of integration patterns, asynchronous processing, and how to validate data integrity across distributed systems.
DevOps & CI/CD: Strong grasp of environment management and CI/CD pipelines. You should know how to integrate automated tests into the deployment process to prevent regressions.
Certifications: Active Salesforce certifications (PD1/PD2); QA-related or MuleSoft certifications are a major plus.
